How We Sort and Inspect Second-Hand Products Before Shipping from China

When buying second-hand clothes, shoes, or bags for resale, quality control is the most important factor. Whether you're a small importer or a large distributor, you need to know exactly what condition the goods are in before they reach your market.

At our facility in China, we take sorting and inspection seriously. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we ensure you receive clean, wearable, and sellable second-hand products.

Step 1: Collection from Reliable Sources

We collect second-hand goods from donation centers, community drives, and reputable suppliers across major cities in China. Items are screened at the source for basic quality — we do not accept overly worn, stained, or damaged items.

Collected items are then transported to our sorting warehouse.

Step 2: Manual Sorting by Type and Grade

Every item is manually inspected and classified by experienced staff into different categories and grades:

  • By Category: Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Shoes, Bags

  • By Grade:

    • Grade A – Nearly new, no defects

    • Grade B – Lightly used, minor signs of wear

    • Grade C – Lower quality, suitable for budget markets or repair shops

Items with holes, large stains, or heavy wear are rejected.

Step 3: Cleaning & Folding

For selected items, we conduct basic cleaning and deodorizing to ensure freshness. Clothes are folded neatly, shoes are matched into pairs and tied or bagged, and bags are checked for broken zippers or tears.

We also remove sensitive items (e.g., used undergarments) to protect your brand and compliance.

Step 4: Packing & Labeling

Once sorted and folded, the items are compressed into bales or sacks for easy loading and transport. Each bale is clearly labeled with:

  • Product category (e.g., T-shirts, mixed shoes)

  • Grade level

  • Net weight

  • Date of packing

Photos and videos of actual packing are sent to clients for confirmation before shipment.

 Step 5: Pre-Shipment Inspection

Before final loading, our team does a last round of random quality checks, filming and photographing for transparency. We also welcome third-party inspections if the customer prefers to send their own agent.

Our goal: zero surprises at your port.
